Today is Father's Day, a time to honor and celebrate fathers everywhere.
However, many of
us may experience mixed emotions on this day, and I want to share a personal story with you.
My father abandoned me when I was young, and the pain of his absence was a heavy burden I carried for many years. The feelings of longing and hurt were sometimes
overwhelming, and this day often brought those emotions to the surface.
However, as time has passed, I've found healing in unexpected places. Watching my husband love and care for our children with such devotion and tenderness has been a profound experience. His
unwavering presence and the joy he brings to our family have helped mend the wounds of my past. While the memories of my father's absence are not forgotten, they no longer define my story.
To those of you who face this day without your fathers or with complicated
feelings, I want you to know that your emotions are valid. Whether your father was absent, has passed away, or your relationship was challenging, it is okay to feel a range of emotions today. You are not alone in this.
I believe in
honoring all fathers, including those who have been pillars of strength and love. Today, let's celebrate the great fathers and father figures who have positively impacted us and cherish the moments of love we have experienced.
Thank you for being a part of
our community and allowing me to share my story with you.
With heartfelt wishes,
